Sky Burial’s fourteenth full-length recording marks a return to ‘epic’ length compositions featuring a single track spanning the length of the release. Firmly rooted in the kosmische ethos, ‘Chapel Image’ is a constantly shifting journey through the nebulous depths of drone and dark ambience with full-immersion being held just at bay by the uneasy dichotomy of low and high frequencies and punctuation of rhythmic and industrial elements.

“Based in drone, Chapel Image encompasses the listener in a broad stereo field, engulfing you in sound while elements play back and forth in the stereo mix. You can mention haunting or ethereal but this doesn't serve to define the full range or feel of the entire 45 minute piece. The mood changes throughout shifting from beautiful bell tones and diving into industrial dirges. It's not a recording that sits still for any time.
